Lacey Alexander made a wonderfully hot debut with her novella Hot for Santa! and she kicks the heat up to blazing inferno in French Quarter, the first in her series Hot in the City.

Liz Marsh is determined to hire private investigator, Jack Wade; he'd come highly recommended by her best friend Lynda. She needed to know if her fiancé Todd was cheating on her. Wanting to appear sexy so he'd wonder why her fiancé was cheating, she'd borrowed an outfit from Lynda and tried her best to act sexy, hoping to intrigue Jack enough for her to take on her case.

Jack had worked long and hard to get where he was today and he no longer spied on boyfriends, fiancés and husbands. He had every intention of telling Liz Marsh 'no', but when she leaned over his desk, allowing him to glimpse the delights covered by her transparent black blouse, he found concentrating rather difficult. What he really wanted to do was kiss her and was going to do just that, when his friend Ty came in the door. Before he knew it, he was taking notes and making plans to follow Liz' fiancé .

The next day he gave her the pictures he'd taken of Todd at Club Venus, one of the local strip clubs. Due to the dim lighting, the pictures weren't the best and Liz couldn't or didn't want to believe it was Todd. Looking Jack straight in the eyes, she told him she had to see with her own eyes that Todd was really visiting a strip club. Jack tried to warn her off, but she refused to be dissuaded.

Liz kept reminding herself she was at Club Venus to prove to herself Todd was a cheating jerk, but found it hard to concentrate on anything but the dancers. Always the good girl, she had never really experimented or found sex all that exciting. Being at Club Venus with Jack, a man whose sexual magnetism drew out her own hidden sensuality, was arousing Liz like no one ever had. After seeing Todd ordering a lap dance, Liz had no qualms whatsoever about inviting Jack to join her on her journey sexual awakening.

Neither can complain about the sex and the very obvious connection between them, but is it enough to keep them together?

Wow! Grab your laptop, buy a block of ice and make yourself comfortable. Trust me, that block of ice won't be cold for too long after you start reading French Quarter. This book literally sizzles. Liz and Jack are the most sensual and completely openly sexual couple I've ever seen. Yet there is great deal of emotion between them. You are instantly aware of the connection between them and it isn't just about the sex. Jack is so encouraging and enjoys helping Liz explore her sexuality. In return, Liz's experiences are made all the more erotic by knowing Jack is enjoying the way the experiments make her feel.

In addition to this amazingly hot storyline, Ms. Alexander also adds an element of danger in the form of Liz' ex-fiancé Todd. I completely enjoyed French Quarter and am now waiting most impatiently for Sin City, the second in the Hot in the City series. Don't miss this incredible novel!

Amy Finnegan has been fantasizing about the sexy Santa. Every time she takes a child to sit on his lap, she envisions herself there. Working as an elf, and along with him this season, Amy's had delicious fantasy after fantasy. It's Christmas Eve, and their working relationship is now finished. Too bad, though, because good friend Cole Bradshaw has played a huge role in Amy's delicious fantasies.

Cole has been Amy's friend for years. As far as he's concerned, it's definitely time to take it up a notch or two. Cole is sure, by the signals he's been getting from Amy during their Christmas charity jobs, that she wants him - maybe just as much as he wants her. Hoping he hasn't gone too far, Cole has set up a night of seduction for Amy.

When you read this hot and sexy book by new Ellora's Cave author Lacey Alexander, I am sure you'll agree that Cole and Amy burn up the pages. Whether you are reading about the Christmas gifts Cole bought Amy, or how he executes each stage of the night, Hot for Santa is utterly provocative.

What a delicious friends-to-lovers story. I love these stories because the bond of friendship holds so many deep emotions. Then add passion to the mix, and it becomes very fulfilling. I'm looking forward to more from Ms. Alexander.
