To A Child Love Is Spelled T-I-M-E is a fantastic gift book especially written for parents of children of all ages. Using quotes from famous and not-so-famous people throughout the ages, it reminds us of the necessity of spending time with our children. It also has short stories that bring the point home very quickly, with a variety of topics such as listening, discipline, values, and responsibility. In an age where the cliche "Quality, not quantity, time" has been repeated over and over, this book reminds us that a child needs his parents to spend time with him to make him feel loved. It's not the material things that matter most in a child's life-it's his parents' love and time he craves and desperately needs. While not a necessary purchase for a public library, this is one book that I feel should be in every parent's personal library and reread over and over as a constant reminder to spend time with our children.
