Island of Saints truly stands alone! With an ingenious blending of history, mystery and memories, this story has the potential to transform readers. Nestled between the pages of this book is a dynamic principle that can set the most stubborn heart free from past hurts and wrongs. Yet, the author has chosen to unveil this idea through the characters and their actions in this profoundly unique story.

Author Andy Andrews enters this book as both character and narrator. He begins by explaining that this story wasn't something he meant to write, but came about because he wanted to solve a mystery. One day, while digging up a dying wax myrtle tree on his Gulf Coast property, he uncovered a rusted can that held some extraordinary items from the past. Readers are invited to step back into this volatile time in history to find a place of peace for today.

From the opening pages, there is a feeling that this story may be more than a story. The Nazi artifacts that were uncovered lend an air of mystery and danger. As the author begins to explore the connection between German submarines and the Gulf Coast during WWII, a virtually unknown historical fact emerges. Now if that isn't enough to excite readers, there is also a virtually unknown spiritual fact that flows from this story. The result is a book that completely engages both the mind and the spirit in a powerfully unusual tale.

Readers will not be finished with this story after the last page is turned. A hopeful desire to live out the message in this book will have taken root. The author paints a picture of hatred and past wrongs, and then weaves words to describe the essence and fragrance of true forgiveness. And it's all enacted in the lives of an American widow and a German submariner.

Island of Saints is a slice of how life should be lived.
