Meg Langslow had returned to her hometown of Yorktown for a wedding. Three weddings to be exact. Not only is she a maid of honor in all three, she's also the wedding planner.
Planning the weddings would be much simpler if the brides weren't constantly changing and adding details. Adding to her frustration is trying to get one of the brides in to choose a gown. The only person keeping Meg sane is Michael Waterson, the town hunk. Unfortunately for Meg, Mr. Right is rumored to be gay.
Finally making progress with all the wedding plans, Meg's life becomes decidedly more complicated when one of the out-of-town guest's body is found. Now she must help her detective-wanna-be father with his investigation. Suspects are quickly eliminated, yet bodies and near misses keep piling up. Can she find the murderer and get the brides to the altar?
A delightful treat from a talented author, Murder with Peacocks is sure to please even the die-hard mystery reader. The suspense was magnificent, keeping me guessing to the end. What made this novel truly extraordinary were the secondary characters. From the gorilla-costume-wearing cousin to the eccentric croquet players, their antics kept me in stitches, always wondering what they would next. I highly recommend this novel.
