Elizabeth Whittaker had an almost perfect life-handsome, loving husband, beautiful and intelligent daughter, nice home, and plenty of money. That is, until she begins to experience strange symptoms that make her feel something is not quite right with her health. The diagnosis: multiple sclerosis. Elizabeth finds herself being drawn down a path not of her choosing, but one she is on nonetheless with no chance for escape. Will she be able to come to terms with this crippling disease-and more importantly, will her family give her the love and support she so critically needs?

Sharon Baldacci has written an incredibly insightful and inspiring fictional account of one woman's struggle with the diagnosis of an incurable disease. She shows us the various ways people handle the news of a devastating illness and teaches the reader to see beyond the wheelchairs and canes to the real person using them. The various characters were all seemingly real life people facing their own challenges and supporting each other in the process. I came away from this novel with a much greater understanding and compassion for those facing debilitating illnesses and would recommend this as required reading for every adult. By the time the last page is turned, you too will be searching the sky for A Sundog Moment.
