Move Over, Rover is a delightful, imaginative tale that never fails to bring a smile to my face. No easy feat, considering I have to read it three or four times a day.
It’s a dreary, rainy day and Rover crawls into his doghouse to stay dry. He is quickly joined by a host of other animals all seeking shelter from the rain. Quite soon the doghouse is packed, but the appearance of one particular animal causes the doghouse to quickly empty.
Karen Beaumont’s story is fun; you can’t help smiling as you read it. And Jane Dyer’s illustrations are cozy and expressive, especially when the doghouse is filled with animals. A treat for all ages.
