Kelsey Harper is a journalist, a good one with a nose for news. What she wants now is the inside info on Jason Devlin, Senator, single and a man whom women would do anything to possess. What she gets is more than she could ever dream of.

Jason Devlin is not just a Senator but also an alpha werewolf. He's in need of a packmate soon and he's not sure where among the other werewolves he'll find her. Then he meets Kelsey and a strange turn of fate begins something that neither one of them could ever imagine.

Jaci Burton as crafted a short story that is both satisfying as well as romantic. Though I wish it was longer, this was a great solid read that gives you not only erotic sex, but also a romance to long for. What woman hasn't wished for an alpha male to claim them and make them theirs? Though I wish the idea of getting used to having Jason as a werewolf was longer, showing how Kelsey resolves the issue better, overall I'm hoping that she'll be bringing the stories of the other werewolves mentioned by name to the public soon.

If you want a hot romance with a taste of the paranormal and it not interfere with your noontime break, I highly recommend Jaci's book, Running Mate.

Kelsey Harper is a journalist desperate to discover and expose all of Jason Devlin's secrets. That's not all Kelsey hopes to expose with Jason Devlin. He is sexy as all get-out. Kelsey gets her few precious moments with Jason, but not the interview she expected.

Jason's a lonely man. A man who may never find his mate. He has too many secrets, and secrets like his, humans can't be trusted with. Jason is a werewolf with a prominent position in politics.

A case of mistaken identity brings Kelsey to Jason's bed. The sexual connection immediately leads to a powerful emotional connection unlike Jason has ever known. This leads Jason to wonder whether Kelsey could be his packmate - despite her being human.

This quickie by Burton will leave the reader satisfied. The passion, desire and emotions in Devlin Dynasty - Running Mate are done remarkably well for such a short story. This promises to be another winning series by Burton.
