When the Devlin pack decide to expand on a nationwide scale, Max is disgusted to find exile in Louisiana imposed on him. And yet, his new job suggests meeting Shannon Storm the fiery PR for the Storm family and their hotel/casino. Drawn instinctively to Shannon, Max is amazed to discover both she and her family possess magic of their own. Finding a feisty potential mate for an alpha male like himself, Max discovers a huge barrier erected to keep predators at bay. It would definitely be a challenge. Could Shannon ever fall in love with Max Devlin and accept him for who he is?

To me Max and Shannon rank up there with Rhett and Scarlet, the chemistry practically sizzles when these two parry verbally. And when they connect physically, well I'll leave that to your imagination *grins*. Max is an amazing hero, trust me this is one gray you don't want to get on the wrong side off. Intensely protective yet incredibly sweet (read the last chapter), you'll want to fight Shannon off and claim him for yourself. Yet, you'll find yourself rooting for her as she fights the greatest threat to their future together, herself. Ms Devlin weaves a beautiful story and two truly magical families against the wondrous setting that is New Orleans. Looking for a book that pulls at the heartstrings yet sets it racing too, stop here. One unforgettable read!

Marina has been with the Interplanetary Enforcement Unit for ten years. She's never shied away from any assignment. Tough and ambitious, and looking for a promotion, Marina agrees to take an assignment that is completely different from her very personality. Commanding on the job - and in the bedroom - the current assignment is that Marina will become a submissive to a Dom. Yes, despite her reservations, this job is very important for more reasons for one. For starters, at least three women have been kidnapped and taken to the planet Xarta to be trained as subs. It is Marina's job to get herself kidnapped, and to locate and rescue the missing women. Her "partner" in this job is also an undercover operative - but he is also a true-life Dom, originally from the planet Xarta.

When Marina meets her partner, an interplanetary marshall named Kaden, the attraction she feels for him is instantaneous. But, she is tough. No way will she be able to handle an assignment where Kaden takes control from the very moment he meets her. Or will she?

Marina's reticence will make her look more convincing in the beginning, especially since the assignment calls her for her to hang out at some of the clubs where the girls disappeared. Then if she is kidnapped, to follow every step of the training required to become a sub. Being a bit resistant will help her to look like she is a true innocent when she is actually kidnapped.

Kaden, since he is originally from Xarta, is perfect for the job, and is confident he will be the man to purchase Marina as his sub. Kaden is relentless in his training. He's not so sure why he pushes her as far as he does, especially since this is just a job. But, he feels something for her - something he's never felt for any of his other subs while living on Xarta. As a matter of fact, he left Xarta because the lifestyle no longer appealed to him. His deep and emotional reaction to Marina truly shocks him. This is an assignment. No emotion involved. So what is happening to Kaden?

Marina is just as much as a surprise as Kaden is. You've got to read this book to see how the training, the pacing and the emotion all come together. Marina's reactions go beyond a simple assignment and it is rather thrilling to see how her entire viewpoint changes. As I am not ordinarily a fan of BDSM books, Bound to Trust came as a complete surprise - with ultimate pleasure. I loved how Ms. Burton handled the entire situation - taking a woman who has always been dominate in all aspects of her life - and turning her into a willing submissive. If you are a fan of BDSM, or a fan of Jaci Burton, then Bound to Trust is not a book to be missed!

A good writer is a writer who can take any subject, and write with ease. Whether Ms. Burton is writing fantasy, futuristic, contemporary, or her first endeavor with BDSM, she writes in such an entertaining, compelling fashion that the reader is certain to be drawn in. Never forget when reading a book by Ms. Burton - deep emotion and intense sensuality will always go hand in hand.

Reviewer's note: The culture of the planet Xarta includes voyeurism and exhibitionism. There are some acts that fit into the world of BDSM that the reader should be prepared to read. However, Ms. Burton handles these scenes with a delicate flair, and nothing was too shocking for this reader.
