Aspiring architect Emma Mayson has taken up housecleaning while she searches for a job in her chosen career. When she meets her newest client, Russell Carrick, she wonders what he’d be like in bed. After he comforts her on a bad day, she confesses that she thinks it would be nice to be a mistress. Paid to be available for sex without worrying about an emotional involvement. Then the unthinkable happens, Russell accepts her offer.

Russ was in shock. All he wanted was for her to cook a few dinners for him, not for Emma to become his mistress. Not wanting to embarrass her, he goes along with the pretense of hiring her as his mistress, determined to tell her on another day that he’s changed his mind. However, when the time comes for their first evening together, Russ doesn’t tell her he wants to call off their arrangement.

What happens when a business arrangement becomes more? If the arrangement ends is a true relationship possible?

The Erotic Secrets of a French Maid is a fun, quick read. Cach writes with grace and fluidity, bringing her characters to life. I felt Emma was a real person and her struggle to fulfill her dreams, worrying about not being good enough and falling in love were very human.

Sensual, comedic and endearing, The Erotic Secrets of a French Maid is an enjoyable read.
