Imagine this....Anita's best friend, Jordan, is a mistress who cannot make an appointment. Jordan sends Anita to inform the client in person. Only...things don't QUITE go as planned and she is mistaken for her friend. A rather cynical hero and a case of mistaken identity lead to a scorching conclusion in Naughty Mistress Nita by Jodi Lynn Copeland.
Zane Matthews is exhausted after a fishing trip where the fish weren't biting and he got soaked to the skin from an aggressive downpour. When he discovers a woman in his bed, he finds he is more awake than he thought. His friends followed through on something he wanted no part of. His buddies kept trying to offer him the services of a dominatrix. No way. He's turned the offer down many times. Well, the woman is now in his bed, and though he's not quite sure of how far she'll go with the whips and chains, he wakes her up in a rather erotic fashion.
Anita Roemer only meant to pass on the news that Jordan couldn't make it, but the client isn't home, and Anita finds the door is unlocked. Good thing, because the raging thunderstorm is something Anita is only too glad to get out of. Rather than to brave the storm, Anita decides to wait it out. In the meantime, she cleans up a bit, and out of utter exhaustion, falls into the big bed and into a deep sleep.
Anita is shy, reserved, and most certainly, not a dominatrix! Waking up from the hottest, most erotic dream of her life, a dream that she's certain will cast her to hell, she doesn't take long to realize that Mr. Matthews is home, and he thinks she is the dominatrix!!!! Oh my, raised by a minister father, and an overly strict mother, the guilt that Anita feels for this incredible pleasure nearly kills her. But, wait. Zane doesn't know who she is. Can she push that guilt aside and shoot for the pleasure she knows will come her way if she plays the role she just thought of - "Naughty Mistress Nita"? Yes, one night of being who she wants, as she's tired of being the "good girl".
This wonderful story is about two people who need each other, who find an incredible connection, not just sexually, which is done so well, so erotically, that the emotional attachment begins to shine through. Yes, friendship and loyalty become strange bedfellows in Naughty Mistress Nita. When Anita found herself doing a favor for a good friend, she never could have imagined she'd have so many conflicting emotions that would lead to wonderfully fulfilling sex.
Naughty Mistress Nita is a fantastic book. Touching scenes, delightful humor, and an emotional awareness where Zane begins to see through Anita make this a very enjoyable read. When I picked up this book, I got something entirely different than what I expected. What a treat! Jodi Lynn Copeland is an author to watch. With true joy and satisfaction, this is a book that I'd recommend for certain.

Goodbye Stephanie Lang, good girl. Hello, Stephie Lang, bad girl on a mission. Stephanie had just spent some serious cash on some new toys for her and her boyfriend. However, he tells her she waited too late. She hears this when she walks in on him and another woman. MR. CLOSE ENOUGH - here comes Stephie.
Nick Calanetti has to remind himself that, as a weekend employee at the summer resort, there is no employee/guest fraternization. But, this one gorgeous blonde has him reconsidering. Well, at least his other brain is. Add to that, Nick can sense another layer beyond all that beauty, she's a nice woman, and doesn't belong in the risqué resort.
When Stephie tells Nick she's keeping her reservations for her weekend cruise on the Hidden Desire without her boyfriend, he's in serious trouble. The fantasies have already begun for Nick and they haven't even hit the water. Stephie realizes her plans are working rather well. She wondered if going ahead with the cruise would work, if she'd find a guy to keep her company. When she saw Nick, she knew she hit pay dirt. And he's the captain. Gets even better.
Right from the start when Stephie was hurt, and realized she was looking for sex, not love. And why not? It was easy to see how she could be attracted to sexy Nick. She has quickly decided that this could be a weekend of mutual satisfaction, so she sets out to learn about Nick's fantasies. Nick tried to resist, with valiant effort. He doesn't have sex with strangers. No way. Oh, he's thought about it, he's thinking about it right now, but no, he won't do it. Besides, he is a columnist. This weekend cruise thing is only a weekend part-time job. So, what would happen if he broke the rule? This is one of the internal arguments that helps to make Uncharted Waters a very sexy read.
Debut author Jodi Lynn Copeland writes a story of contradictions for Stephie and Nick. While there are times Stephie is sure Nick is just Mr. Close Enough, she often wonders if he could possibly be Mr. Right. Stephie is at first a contradiction to Nick, bad girl/good girl. But then he begins to put the pieces of the puzzle together. This makes Nick a wonderful character, because he's not just in it for a good lay. His instincts told him from the moment he saw her that she was special, and in their two days together, he was proved right. Stephie fought to hold onto her "bad girl" persona for the weekend. The "good girl" kept slipping out, and at times, stifling her. I very much enjoyed these two characters who struggled for the right balance during their heated weekend.
It is always a thrill for me to read debut authors. Ms. Copeland is no exception. Please visit her website at www.jodilynncopeland.com to see what she has in store for the next several months.
