Nathan (Nate) Anderson in platonic relationship with a woman? Never! Until his older brother Joe challenges him. Nate has to befriend a woman and get to know the real her, out of bed. Both Joe and Nate's friend Duane convince him into dressing up as a woman and attend the Ninth Annual Wild Woman Weekend where there are only women. Reluctant, but determined to prove his brother wrong, Nate does exactly that. He dresses up as Natalie and decides to attend the weekend. When he reaches the destination and sees all the women there, he knows that there is a tough time ahead for him, yet thinks he can cope. But when he meets Kelsey, he knows he is in big trouble. Can he keep his hands off her? Even if he manages to control his libido, can he control his heart?
Kelsey Stuart shows up at the wild woman weekend despite the fact that she agreed to attend only because of her best friend Jan and Jan is not attending now. Now, she is attending only because the idea of avoiding the male population for a whole weekend is very appealing to her. She meets Natalie at the weekend and feels that she has found a friend for life. But as the weekend progresses, Kelsey is shocked to find that she is attracted to Natalie. She is beginning to question her sexuality, when she discovers that Natalie is not a woman and is actually a man! Kelsey finds an apt way for revenge. Revenge can get Nate out of the wild woman weekend, but can it get him out of Kelsey's heart?
Wild Hearts: One Wild Weekend is delightfully sexy and guaranteed to make you smirk from time to time. Jodi's words are witty, gripping and she has a way of keeping your attention fastened to the book. Her main characters are fabulous. Nate is a typical Casanova who you definitely want to beat up, but as the story moves on, he gradually becomes endearing. Kelsey is a gutsy woman with a vulnerable streak who makes a place in your heart immediately. The emotions that she goes through when she finds herself getting attracted to a woman are very appropriate and your heart goes out to her. The come-uppance that Nate gets is so deserved that it can make you grin. Jodi, very cleverly, has left the traces of her next book in the series, scattered here and there. I, for one, definitely want to read more about Duane and Candace in the upcoming book.
All in all, Wild Hearts: One Wild Weekend is one wild ride that you should not miss!

"Brother before any other." This sacred vow from Lucas Donnigan's past is something he'd like to forget. As of three weeks ago, Lucas had not heard or seen from the man as close to a father as he'd ever had, Solaris. Solaris was a master of powers that Lucas thought invincible. Solaris's death brings a threat to Lucas's life. Lucas was part of the Sons of Solaris, and yet due to a tragic event years ago, he considers the Sons his sworn enemies.
Lucas broke off from the group and has gone his own way. Lucas had a vision predicting his death. Due to that, and also because of a promise he made to Solaris, Lucas must deal with a psychic. He desperately hates the supernatural. Lucas must go see Amy Vaness. Though Lucas is aware she's a psychic, he wasn't aware she is Solaris' niece. Solaris all but begged Lucas to contact this woman before he died. Lucas must get to the task of locating his one-time mentor's killer.
There is a powerful, zinging psychic and sexual connection, right from the outset. Amy's uncle Max (Solaris) asked her to help Lucas. Never would she have imagined such a powerful reaction to Lucas. Lucas hates the fact that fate is what proves to be bringing him and Amy together. Can they fight destiny?
The intriguing thing about Lucas is that he has denied his supernatural abilities for years. He has dealt with a painful past that he'd rather forget. Now he must deal with Amy and her psychic ability. Add to that the amazing attraction between them and the tension, especially sexual, is done really well in Sons of Solaris 1: Aries.
Ms. Copeland does a stellar job in this book. For example, Amy's visions are sometimes intense, and there is an example in Sons of Solaris 1: Aries of a violent occurrence, one where Amy's past, present and future seem to culminate, leaving her with a deep sense of grief. These visions are all too real. Though I had to put the book down a few times while reading Amy's visions/nightmares, the intensity of the situation between Lucas and Amy, and Ms. Copeland's amazing writing skills kept pulling me back into the story. I just *had* to know the answers to these and other questions: Will Amy be able to save Lucas's life, and that of the other Sons of Solaris? Will Lucas and Amy accept fate and allow trust and love to be a part of their lives?
Great intrigue, fantastic pacing, and an intense conclusion are just a few of the things to be found in Sons of Solaris 1: Aries. This will whet the reader's appetite for more of this series by Ms. Copeland. I hope to be first in line for any other books in this engaging series.
