It was supposed to be a simple business transaction: meet the client, collect the payment and transfer the cargo. Unfortunately for Leith McClure, it turned out to be anything but simple. She never wanted to be a part of McClure Shipping; her father's illness forced her to take an active role. Her first day on the job and she learns her father has been involved in illegal trade with the Zi.
Trade with the saurian Zi was forbidden due to their longstanding war with the Crux. None of this came to mind, however, when Leith met the Zi representative, Warrior J'Qhir. All she was aware of was her immediate attraction. An attraction that would remain unrequited given the circumstances.
He had expected Cameron McClure and his surprise caused him to be rude. Adding to his discomfort was his attraction to Leith. As a human, she would never be attracted to him; never mind that she was qa`anh'al, forbidden to him.
Betrayed by one of McClure Shipping's most trusted associates, Leith and J'Qhir are marooned on the Arreisan planet, Paradise. An uninhabited and hostile planet, Paradise offered many challenges. Given the fact they had only enough food for a few days, very few survival tools and no water, the two would be forced to depend on each other and use every means necessary to survive. As times passes and the hope of rescue grows faint, will they allow their true feelings to be known?
In her debut novel, recently re-released, author Lanette Curington takes readers on an unforgettable journey through the stars. Rich details, exciting worlds and vibrant characters combine to make Starkissed a true keeper. J'Qhir and Leith are extraordinary, both drawing on their inner strength to survive and overcome their obvious differences. Their journey is remarkable to witness and the reader desperately wants for them to have a happy ending.
Beautifully written with great characters, Starkissed deserves its place on my keeper shelf. Do not for any reason miss this novel.

Aglaia, one of the graces serving as Aphrodite's personal messengers, had been sent to Lemnos to aid four young lovers. Tebris was to marry Prince Oileus yet loved his cousin, while Oileus loved Tebris' cousin. Fixing the problem should have been easy, except for the bride's mother Queen Eupompe. Determined to have her daughter wed a prince, she resented Aglaia's presence and interference in her daughter's life. Hiring two thugs to throw her off a cliff was the perfect plan.
Hephaestus is happy on his island. The Olympian gods do not bother him, nor do any humans. He is alone with his forge and metal servants. During one of his daily walks, he finds Aglaia's body. As she is an immortal, he knows she is not dead just badly hurt. Deciding to heal her wounds before sending a message to Olympus sounded like a good idea. He didn't plan on falling in love.
Aphrodite's Touch is a remarkable anthology. Both novellas are masterful, filled with incredible detail and unbelievable story telling. Filled with extremely, intense erotic scenes, Dancing with Dionysus is the spicier of the two. Often taking a back seat to the erotic scenes, the love story in Dancing with Dionysus is still very much a visible part of the novella. Immortal Heat is tender and romantic. The characters and their emotions are at the forefront of this novella. Ms. Curington's detailed imagery is incredible, completely immersing the reader in Ancient Greece. All in all, Ms. Curington and Ms. Wylde have earned my loyalty. I look forward to reading more of their work. Not to be missed!
