Dr. Silverdawn Peterson is an archeologist at the London Museum of Rare Artifacts. She felt very lucky to get her appointment at the museum. Her mentor, Professor Peter Waymer, had shown a lot of confidence in hiring one as young as Silverdawn.

What Dr. Peterson does not know is that Professor Waymer's body is being possessed by an evil sorcerer named Iraj of Istani. Iraj wants to gain a "key" from Silverdawn that will unlock a pyramid to release Iraj's magick and his many dark minions. A magick he lost in ancient times by the hand of Faren and those close to Silverdawn's father - King of Rastehm.

When Iraj implements his plan to regain his power, strange things start to happen in Silverdawn's life. The most curious of them is the appearance of a gorgeous man named Faren. He appears at just the right times to help Silverdawn out of whatever strange thing is happening. Faren has dealt with Iraj before and knows that the evil sorcerer will kill anyone who stands in the way of his regaining his power. And that includes Silverdawn.

The author pulls together a great adventure that encompasses past, present and fantasy. In many novels, when jumping from past to present and back again, the story becomes confusing, not to mention, messy. However, Ms. D'Arcy keeps the timelines clear so that the reader flows effortlessly from one event to another, as though past and present are one.

Overall, this is a book that entices the reader to keep turning that next page. Ms. D'Arcy does not bog down her writing with long sections of monologue. Instead, there is constant motion that puts a living hue on her words.
