Lady Caroline was the envy of most young Victorian ladies. She was beautiful and independently wealthy. She could choose any lover she wished and answered to no one. But she had a dark secret, one nobody could learn about. Caroline was a vampire. The nature she fought so hard to control almost vanished when she spotted Lord Jack Shaw at a function.
Just the sight of Jack brings out the animal within. This frightens her and she avoids him, hoping he had seen her that first night. Unfortunately, Jack had not only seen Caroline, he wanted her and inquired after her. The desire he felt grew once he kissed her. He was determined to capture her and make her his own. The question is...will she let him?
Catching Caroline by Silvia Day is a historical with paranormal tendencies. I loved her view of Vampire Society; I found it to be fresh and new. The interaction between Jack and Caroline keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering who's going to win between these two determined people.
