Annie is a sexually free feminist who has no idea about her religious identity. Her father had a distaste for the "old Judaism" and her mother downright hated it, Annie's mother was a feminist rebel long before it was fashionable to be called such and raised her only child in her image. With red hair, and green eyes, the beauty was instantly drawn to Joel when they met at a local coffee house.
Joel is a gorgeous green-eyed blonde, kind and loving. A deeply religious Orthodox Jew, Joel has decided that he was going to save intimacy for the marriage bed. Joel is the antithesis to everything Annie's family wants for her, which they become increasingly vocal about as time goes on. The chastity and purity laws of Orthodox Judaism is very hard on Annie who is used to expressing her sexuality freely. Blowing up at Joel one night because of sexual frustration, Annie finds out he is just as frustrated as she is.
This is a beautiful story of the deep and abiding love of a husband and wife for each other. Hot and romantic sex between these two, makes you wish to have a relationship just as special. Erica Dequaya easily pulled me into this story and I could feel the love and attraction that this couple have for each other reaching out to me. I look forward to reading more of Erica's books.

Kristen Duchien's life hasn't been a bed of roses. Now she has to save her ice hockey team as well, which has degraded due to her late husband's indiscretions. She is desperate. If the only way to do it is through Brian Corrigan, her late husband's arch enemy, then so be it. If Brian wants her to marry him for the same, she is ready for it. But when Brian wants her self-respect, is she ready to sacrifice the same for the sake of a hockey team? How far is she willing to go?
Brian Corrigan wants revenge. If it is not on the now dead Marty Pellin, then let it be on his gorgeous wife Kristen. Even though Kristen is the daughter of Brian's mentor, Brian is after her with a vengence. He knows that the only way for her to save her hockey team is to agree to all his conditions. He wants to dominate her and make her suffer. But why is he softening towards her? Is this tenderness gradual or has he been hiding it all these years?
Power Play is a hard-hitting book. When you read the book, you can easily see that Erica has done a close careful study on hockey and all its aspects. The excitement is palpable. The lust and the domination in the first part of the book is not very endearing but the second-half makes up for it and how! The passion between the Brian and Kristen is mind-blowing and intense. I never knew sports and romance could be such an explosive combination until I read this book. It jelled so well and took my breath away!
Power Play is definitely very powerful and very recommended.
