Warlord's Destiny is a quick but very well written tale. The hero is a man who is hardened and tough but also a man who shows much caring as well. The heroine is a very strong woman. Not one to moan her fate but make the life given to her all that she can. Truly outstanding characters combined with an exciting story line make this an amazing story.

Priscilla is lonely, but she'd never admit it to herself. She strives to be powerful and in control, both on her job and in bed. Urged on by Agnes, she orders a guaranteed lifelike robot - a pleasure bot - for a weekend of sexual bliss. But the order hits a snag, putting Agnes in a bind. The AI computer fears she'll be "turned off" if she doesn't produce the expected goods.

Enter Declan O'Hanlon, a starship captain who normally cruises the stars smuggling illegal cargo. But with customs hot on his trail, he's looking for a place to hide. He breaks into Priscilla's home and Agnes sees her chance. She promises to use her computing power to help Declan get his ship back if he'll pretend to be the pleasure bot Priscilla is expecting for the weekend.

Priscilla arrives home to find that her new pleasure bot is nothing like the machine she expected. It is lifelike, as promised, but it seems to have a mind of its own. Priscilla expects to be in control of her new sex toy, but Declan has his own ideas. Priscilla soon learns that there's a side of her that enjoys making love with a take-charge male. And after all, if things get out of control, there's always the off-switch.

Manipulating the situation from behind the scenes (quite literally) Agnes keeps the action moving, convincing Priscilla to give the pleasure bot a chance and cleverly blackmailing Declan to keep up the pretense. As an extremely intelligent computer, Agnes knows what Priscilla needs better than she does, it seems. It isn't long before the sparks start flying between Priscilla and Declan. Priscilla is surprised by how attached she can feel to a robot, and Agnes is busy figuring out what she'll do when her owner discovers Declan is real.

The Pleasure Bot is an entertaining tale of mistaken identities with a futuristic twist. Author Delilah Devlin creates a captivating heroine in Priscilla, a woman who thinks she's one tough cookie but who has a hidden vulnerable side. Declan plans to please and run but he soon finds his heart captured by the hard-as-nails executive who's really a sex kitten. Their passion is explosive, but what will they do when Priscilla finds out the truth?

Readers will enjoy this lighthearted tale of a future society where robots are put to such unexpected and imaginative uses. The Pleasure Bot is rated E-rotic for some hot sex scenes.
