Serosen, Tuathan warrior, has been overwhelmed with a vision; he needs to get to his cousin Du'an. Du'an is about to couple with a jean-clad Terran, an earth-woman. For over 200 years, it has been forbidden for any Tuathan to use the portal that accesses their sister world, earth. There is a danger from the Unsellie Court - earth women and children have been stolen to be used as breeders and slaves. Serosen is furious. Why would Du'an take this woman? What's worse is that Serosen has an unusually high desire for this woman, something he wishes he had time to figure out. Will Serosen get there in time to stop the mating? There is a brutal enemy race, the Golems, that Sorensen can already sense trying to breach the demesne in the portal.

Selena DeLaPava is in a mental haze. Last thing she clearly remembers was dancing her heart away at her cousin's grad party. Now she is lying here, more aroused then ever, with a golden god above her. However, she's interrupted. She wants to know - she needs to know - Where is here? Who's the naked guy on top of her? And who's the dark and dangerous guy who stops them?

Though Selena doesn't realize it at first, Serosen has just saved her life. Strangely, when she looks into his eyes she says: "I have known you my entire life, my dark prince." Serosen says it is impossible. Can he get this maiden back to the portal in time, safe from the many dangers and from him and his powerful need to have her?

Newcomer Nelissa Donovan wrote an amazing story filled with intriguing characters, some dangerous. Serosen has an amazing ability to protect Selena, even though he does not understand the true danger surrounding her. His passion for her nearly proves to be his undoing. Selena finds herself in a place that confuses her, along with the intense passion and feelings that she has toward Serosen. She quickly learns not to be shocked at his special abilities, even recognizing a few of her own.

If you love a great fantasy story with elves, fey, woodsprites and more, you won't want to miss Night Elves Book One: Wicked Pleasures. I cannot wait to read Ms. Donovan's next in the Night Elves series. I am eagerly looking forward to at least two stories - Red Claw and Eristta, and Vigil and Gwendolyn.
