Unbroken is an undiminished view of Tracy Elliott’s spiritual journey. Her narrative is packed with personal thoughts and memories, as she bares her soul in the hope of helping others. As her words fill the pages, readers will get an up close look at the faithfulness and mercy of God.

Orphaned at age six, Tracy went to live with her grandmother. Sadly, this home wasn’t a place of refuge, as Tracy suffered years of abuse and indignities at the hands of her alcoholic uncles. Her life spiraled downward, from beauty pageant contestant to stripper, until she met a man who loved her unconditionally. Through the redeeming grace of God, Tracy’s life was restored and revived, and today, she stands secure in the knowledge of her chosen position in the family of God.

The narrative has a poignant and gritty feel, as the author walks among her memories to piece together the fabric of her life. Her intimate thoughts, hopes and fears are expressed candidly, making readers sympathetic to her plight. As the years progress, her choices of drugs, booze and stripping are shown matter-of-factly, casting a shadow of both innocence and ignorance on her life. The final chapters pick up the pace, as Tracy understands the power and mercy of God, enters a rehab facility, gets married and becomes a mom. Her exuberance at her newfound faith and her second chance at life is endearing.

Unbroken traces a straight line directly to the heart of God.
