Salerno's bright, cheerful illustrations hold everyone's attention and perfectly complement Elya's story. Woven within this charming tale are Spanish words and phrases, introducing children to a second language in a fun-filled, non-aggressive way. Younger children will easily relate to Bebé and his view of shopping, while parents will be hard-pressed not to remember their shopping trips.
