Offering to Isis takes the ancient Egyptian Goddess and brings her to life for a new age. Taking surviving information in regards to the worship of Isis in the past, M. Forrest gives it a unique twist and updates it for today's world. Some of the rituals are quite indepth, but they help you to focus on the offering of self and the asking of a relationship between you and Isis.
I enjoyed the snippets of history, stories that relate to each offering, and the myths about Isis. Though we have to remember that some of the ancient records are incomplete and that Egyptian religion changed and evolved through the millenia thus preventing us from understanding exactly how the Egyptians worshipped their gods, M. Forrest takes the first steps in creating a new path while honouring the spirit of the original. Included is a bibliography so you can do your own research and delve deeper into studying ancient Egypt and its religion.
If you want to feel closer to the ancient gods, then Offering to Isis is a great book to use on that path. Perhaps you might even become a priest or priestess to Isis yourself.
