Susan Gilman knew exactly what she wanted out of life. She has known since she was four. She wanted fame, to be original yet normal, to be loved. Is that so much to ask? She didn't think so.

Susan walks through her life as she remembers it. A child of four chosen to star in her first movie. A teen being introduced to the music of the Rolling Stones, and getting to meet her idol. Through college and the start of her career of choice.

Susan Jane Gilman's book Hypocrite in a Pouffy White Dress was quite entertaining. Any woman who was a child of the seventies will laugh as they spot similarities from their own childhoods. The thoughts, "I remember that." or "Man, I thought I was the only one that happened to," keep popping into your mind when you least expect them.

I would definitely recommend this book to all who enjoy a witty and entertaining read, or a walk back in time.
