Dannah Gresh takes readers into a confidential embrace as she reveals The Secret of the Lord. Her words are filled with love and an enthusiasm that will gently touch hearts and lives. She is a woman who lives what she writes and desires everyone to experience a more authentic life in Christ.
The book's message centers around Psalm 25:14. "The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him, and he will show them his covenant". Each page invites readers to step a little closer to that place of refuge and refreshing. The author shares personal memories, heartfelt thoughts and sound biblical advice, which allows this verse to connect with today's world and worries.
In an effort to be genuine with her audience, the author shares some painful recollections, which enables her to more effectively minister to others. Her lack of guile, coupled with a true appreciation and understanding of God's Word, makes this book a delight to read. Dannah Gresh can speak to today's reader because she has something worthwhile to say. Everyone will benefit from her spiritual insights and inspiring comments.
One of the most apparent things about this book is the author's exuberance. Each page seems to capture a bit of her honest excitement for the things of the Lord. Yet, it won't be until the final pages that readers will get a surprising glimpse of her vibrant walk with Christ. There, in black and white, she discloses an incredible truth she learned while writing this book. Be sure you're sitting down when you read that part!
The Secret of the Lord is like a treasure map, waiting to reveal a lifetime of spiritual riches.
