Ronnie Dowling, real estate agent, returns to her hometown of Flamingo Springs, FL, after losing a baby and divorcing her domineering hot-shot lawyer husband. A local motorcycle cop who gives her a ticket turns out to be Julian Jefferson, the man she loved ten years before. He offers her a chance to clear her driving record by taking his class. Sparks fly as they renew acquaintance and they both realize old feelings aren't gone after all.

She keeps insisting she's leaving town again as soon as her father recovers from his surgery. She doesn't want to fall in love again. But his involvement with troubled teens captures her heart and she can't help assisting him and his parents with that project. In that process, secrets from the past surface and soon both their lives are in danger.

Ms. Haddad has a smooth, readable writing style that keeps you reading and turning the pages to see what twist and turn she has in store for these wonderful characters next. Your emotions will run the gamut from laughter to tears in this delightful Florida love story. She is definitely an author to watch!
