Where Mercy Flows begins as a quiet trickle of tension but ends in a cascading flood of emotion! Grab a box of tissues and get comfortable; this book is fiction at its finest!

Samantha Dodd left home with her boyfriend when she was a teenager, only to return seven years later with her illegitimate son and a serious health problem. Coming to grips with her past, while facing the uncertainty of her future, sets Samantha on a collision course with an unexpected destiny.

Author Karen Harter is a gifted storyteller! She has successfully captured the essence of these characters and brought them to life with meaningful dialogue and heart-wrenching actions. The setting is an intriguing mix of small town life and contemporary America. Flashbacks gracefully fill in the history, merging smoothly with the main plot line and providing the reader with necessary information.

The author skillfully used the river as a thread that flows softly in the background. Samantha's tumultuous relationship with her father sensitively steers the characters through this ribbon of emotions, gradually increasing speed as the pages turn. There comes a time in the book when readers will say, "No, that can't happen", and yet it does. However, when the book is finally closed, there will be no doubt that all things worked together for good.

The plot pulses with a quiet kind of power as it effectively intersects Christianity with contemporary culture. Genuine characters, well written dialogue and an amazing story line make this book memorable.

Where Mercy Flows is an outpouring of creativity and Christian love!
