The Witness testifies of a talented author! A clever balance of suspense and spirituality moves the plot along with power and purpose. Readers will alternate between gasps of surprise and sighs of pleasure as the pages turn.

A brutal murder in a mall has Amy Griffin running for her life As the only witness to the killings, she is wanted by the police to testify; but officially, she doesn't even exist. Her family believes she had been murdered eight years ago, although her body was never recovered. Police Chief Luke Granger needs to sort the facts from the fear before the killer tracks Amy down and finishes the job he already started.

The novel explodes in the early pages with the mall murders, which introduces Amy and hints at the intricate web of deceit she has woven. Her life in the shadows is revealed slowly and skillfully, giving readers time to absorb each new detail. The plot seems to veer off course at one point, but the author ties it all together to create an added level of interest. Realistic police procedures heighten the suspense with some action-filled moments.

Christian principles were seamlessly and naturally shown through the characters' dialogue and actions. As a result, these beliefs provided a quiet kind of power to the story line. Romance also graced these pages and made a delightful contrast to the murder investigation. However, the author struck a note of reality in this novel and therefore readers should be prepared for anything. Bittersweet moments vie for a happy ending, but the last page closes in the best possible place.
