GreatSword's Woman is Mel Brooks meets Erotic Romance. Seriously, absolutely nothing is sacred in this tale.

Mary Katherine was originally from the planet Earth and fell through a Great Hole and ended up on another world. Fortunately, the new world, Amazurn was much better than her old home and she quickly adapted to her new home. She and her friend Jethrex were pilots and had recently taken on a mission for the Amazurn Queen Pussyanna to retrieve her daughter's betrothed. This mission would allow them to completely revamp their ship and have money to enjoy themselves. After all, how hard could it be to retrieve one man?

First of all, GreatSword is a warrior from Tauroth, a land where women have no rights. In fact, all of them look mostly starved, except for their gigantic breasts. Oddly enough, Mary Katherine enjoys the men of Tauroth, with the exception of their treatment of women. They were take-charge men and after the submissive males of Amazurn, she wanted to indulge herself. Unfortunately, GreatSword was promised to Princess Twateeny and was off-limits.

Fate has other plans for GreatSword and Mary Katherine. A meteor shower forces them to land on Vampiria, the home of GreatSword's mother. Knowing they have at least a week, Mary Katherine and GreatSword give into to the passion raging between them. What will happen when they return to Amazurn?

Oh my god, I didn't Kate was capable of writing something so funny. Don't get me wrong, I love her writing; it's always so emotional, heartwarming, tender, and erotic. I hope this will not be her only attempt at comedy; she is one of the few who can write erotic comedy. I loved every bit of this novella; it was spectacular. I think my favorite part were the mentions of the planets Circumcisia and Silconaria, that and the names of GreatSword's brothers. I couldn't stop laughing. Don't miss!

Mel Andre is a vampire on the prowl for a rush. Even after living hand to mouth in the South American jungles, something is missing in her life. What she considers is finding Zigor-an alpha vampire that doesn't deal with nicety. He's an Intimate, one who shares their expertise and discipline with those who pay with their blood. For Mel, it's the ultimate test for her. He demands much in order to spend a night with him, but finally, she thinks she can handle it.

What Mel finds is unlike anything she's ever faced. Not only is Zigor old, he has a control that she can't break-and she's not sure she wants to. His words reverberate through her soul. Yet she doesn't back down from the challenge. She's not quite sure he's enough to test her, to best her. Yet when he offers her one last chance to back out, she hesitates. She's nervous, but in the end she knows that only he, an Intimate, a Master, can give her what she really craves. He demands much does Zigor, but he also delivers what Mel craves most. The question is can there ever be more than just the physical and emotional sating of blood and soul between them?

I think I've died and gone to vampire pleasure heaven. Wowsa, Kate Hill has created an alpha male that can even make me mind. Kate Hill taps into the deepest desires of a woman who wants to be dominated but also loved at the same time in such a way, you can't help but fall for a diehard alpha like Zigor. This story hits on the emotions, needs and desires within many of us-we want to be conquered yet also cherished. What a heady combination that is fulfilled in this story. I can't wait to read the next in the Blood and Soul series. Kate Hill has created a world with depth, passion, and an overflowing story that makes you tremble with a need to go deeper. If you want a vampire world that is all eroticism, passion, and darkness within the light, this book is the first in your steps of giving Blood and Soul.
