The Novelist is at the top of the list for creativity! Angela Hunt has written a story within a story, which is guaranteed to make this reading experience thoroughly unique!
Jordan Casey Kerrigan has sold millions of books. She knows how to plot and outline her characters' lives, yet her own life is slowly unraveling. Her son, Zack, is experiencing some serious behavioral problems and she doesn't have a solution. After her community college class challenges her to write a story from her heart, she decides this may be a way to reach her son through her words. But as the novel takes on a life of its own, Jordan finds herself entering her fictional world to try to find answers for her real problems.
Author Angela Hunt's slogan is to expect the unexpected and this book lives up to that phrase! She tackles some serious and thought-provoking subjects with her classic grace and imagination. The merging of the real and the fictional allows readers a unique window to watch Jordan's life develop. Although Jordan professes a belief in God, she didn't seem to connect that faith with a firm conviction of the creative powers of the Lord. As she writes the story of her heart, the Lord writes His Word upon her soul. In an unforgettable passage, Jordan reaches through the written word to embrace the story she created. She stands face to face with her own characters as she searches for hope and understanding.
Readers will be challenged, convicted and comforted in this amazing book. Angela Hunt demonstrates the principles of God's sovereignty and man's free will through appropriate character dialogue and action. Lofty spiritual truths are brought to eye level through the author's insightful writing.
The Novelist takes this story to a whole new dimension!

Unspoken is unforgettable! The premise of this book is unique enough to be extraordinary, and extraordinary enough to be life changing!
Glee Granger is a scientist and an atheist. Sema is a gorilla who was trained to use sign language. When Sema starts describing a "shiny man" who offers insights about God; science meets spirituality in a sympathetic showdown.
Angela Hunt is a masterful storyteller. In this book, she teases the borders of fiction, as she builds a story around real life research. For several decades, scientists have been using sign language to communicate with gorillas. Yet, these pages expand those boundaries and pose the question of a more meaningful interaction between man and primates.
Sema is truly remarkable and every reader will fall in love with her. Her innocence and intelligence allow this story to progress in a realistic and riveting manner. The author has smoothly included many facts about gorillas, which enables the reader to better understand this species. At times, Sema seems almost human, but there is also an element in her life that is beyond the scope of rational comprehension. Like when she starts to sign about God. No one taught that to her, and Glee's scientific mind stumbles over the answer.
The behind the scene activity at the zoo, which features several other gorillas, adds to an already great story. Christian beliefs are integrated with a naturalness that does credit to the author's sensitivity. Secondary characters round out this novel and provide the necessary tension to keep the pages turning. Yet, Sema is the star as she innocently points to God and lives in the full scope of her understanding of Him.
Unspoken is unequaled in creativity and compassion!
