Double Cross is the real deal. Author James David Jordan turns up the suspense in this second book of the series, leaving readers firmly pinned to their seats until the final page. This novel expands the interaction between previously introduced characters and provides twists that both tease and terrify.

Taylor Pasbury, the heroine of Forsaken is back, much to the delight of her fans. This woman is smart and sassy, knowing how to handle herself on either side of a gun barrel. Although she is now the most prominent security specialist in America, she retains the vulnerability and curiosity readers loved in the first book. As she seeks the real reason behind the death of her former client's top assistant, Taylor's need for the truth broadens to include the spiritual side of life. The theme of sacrificial love resurfaces in this second book in the series, as the characters' lives challenge popular beliefs. When the last page is turned, the excitement and the echoes of this story will linger.

When I first 'met' Taylor, I knew she was special, but in these pages, she becomes real. Sure, she has her faults, but she is also struggling in her faith and her questions are genuine. The mystery advances at a steady pace and the chapters end on cliff-hanging moments. The larger issues of greed, power and revenge are all packaged in convincing characters and dialogue. Christianity is presented with relevancy, leaving no doubt of the author's intent, but allowing readers to discover the truth and the peace for themselves.

Double Cross is singularly great!
