Moms, consider this book to be both your personal coach and cheerleader. As coach, these pages suggest a Spirit-led strategy for stamping the image of Christ upon the hearts and minds of your children. As cheerleader, the author's words offer sincere encouragement to face the daily routines of motherhood with an exciting view of eternity.
Reading this book is like sitting at Jackie Kendall's kitchen table, sipping coffee and listening to wonderful stories about her family. She focuses on eleven areas in which a mom could and should seek to bring beauty and godliness to a child's life. Her thoughts are firmly grounded in Scripture, as the desires for her children soar with a lighthearted hope. Each chapter begins with an explanation of a spiritual principle, which is followed by personal experiences. Questions for individual or group study highlight the main points and will send readers to their Bibles for a more serious study.
Most noteworthy is the atmosphere of love and grace that emanates from the author's words. As the book is opened, a wellspring of encouragement and exhortation gently flows over the reader.
Every Christian mother wants her children to form a genuine relationship with the Lord, which will impact vital areas in their lives. These pages are filled with some down-to-earth assessments and applications to do just that. Jackie Kendall writes with sweet honesty as she offers glimpses into her family life, sharing successes as well as those times when things didn't go exactly as planned. Her conversational approach enfolds her audience with the true spirit of sisterhood, as she seeks to impart a fresh faith and vision to mothers everywhere.
