Like Dandelion Dust sprinkles precious particles of eternal truths in readers' hearts. This emotionally powerful story examines the sovereignty of God while never losing sight of His infinite mercy. These pages tremble with the intensity of an incredible story that has enough reality to make it riveting.
Jack and Molly Campbell adopted a baby boy four years ago, but because of a problem with the paperwork, a judge ordered them to return the child to his biological parents. Although they appeared ready to respond to the court's ruling, they secretly devised a plan to vanish with Joey. As the time to return custody draws near, events escalate to a thrilling climax, causing both the characters and the reader to gasp with surprise.
Karen Kingsbury's sensitive writing style, coupled with her concentration on characterization, makes this book more than a great story The emotional tug-of-war between the adoptive and natural parents brings up questions that seem to defy conventional thinking. Legal proceedings that impacted the lives of these people provide an atmosphere that encourages readers to search for answers in a higher dimension. The gentle, yet persistent presence of God in this book offers solutions that appear both simple and surreal.
Desperation calls for Divine assistance as the pages quickly turn. A sense of hopelessness and heartache hover over the characters as the story reaches its zenith. The wisdom and mercy of God are contrasted sharply with the plans and thoughts of these parents. A hush falls over the action as the final moments reveal an answer that defies human logic, but fulfills human longing. Tears of joy will mingle with tears of sadness.
Like Dandelion Dust will blow readers away with its insightful and emotional plot!

A Treasury of Miracles for Friends is an inspiring and emotional collection of real-life miracle stories that have been somewhat fictionalized for easier reading. Most of the pieces are fairly short and the whole book itself is a quick read. I suggest reading one at a time, then pondering its message before moving on to the next story in order to garner the full richness of each story. God's hand is evident in each of the miraculous cases from answering seemingly impossible prayers to saving lives. Karen Kingsbury has also authored two other such treasuries, one for teens and one for women, both of which I also look forward to reading soon.
