It had been several weeks since the birth of her son and Princess Katherine longed for her husband's touch. She knew he loved and desired her, but he didn't want to rush her into sex, completely missing her cues. Since trying to rouse his desire kept failing she decided to try a different tactic...a bedtime story.
"Once upon a time, in America and not far from where I grew up, there lived a woman named Susan Baer." Susan Baer was a successful businesswoman, owner of her own fitness club for women. She was also in love. Unfortunately, the man she loved was gay. It was a shame, but then again she wouldn't have met Duncan Morrison or even hired him if it weren't for that single fact. At this point in her life, she'd accomplished all she wanted to business-wise, now she could concentrate on her personal life. What she really wanted was a man to love her, to take charge when she needed him to, respect and encourage her, to share her life. Too bad her current boyfriend wasn't that way.
Toby Williams was wrong for her; way too domineering. Of course, the second man to enter her life was too weak, wanting her to dominate him. Why, oh why, did the perfect man for her have to be gay?
As the story unfolds, Susan learns more about herself, the men in her life and the truth about Duncan. But when all is said and done, are any of the men just right? And will Princess Katherine's story have the desired affect?
Another winner from one of my favorite authors, Dee S. Knight. Her take on the old favorite Goldilocks and the Three Bears is funny, sensual and touching. You can't help but fall in love with Susan and Duncan (you certainly can't help drooling over Duncan. *g*) from page one. As the story unfolds, you are biting your nails, waiting for Susan to find the right man for her. The different personalities of all the guys made for a very interesting read and watching Susan work through her emotions and desires with all of them was a lot of fun. After reading Baer and the Three Goldilocks I don't know if there is anyone who will look at pickles the same way again. *g*
