Scott Adams has been dreaming of April Ten. So has Hartley James. Who is this woman and why are two men who have never met dreaming of her? Adams hires James to find her in a desperate attempt to save his own sanity. What follows is a tale of genetic manipulation, memory suppression, and false identities, full of unexpected twists.

It has been a long time since I have read a medical thriller, and I have to say this reminded me why I like the field so much. There were a couple instances where the same exact information was repeated once or twice, and the dialogue became stilted as they tried to present the information to the reader, but this was an ARC, and it is possible some of that was edited out. Mr. LaFevers did his best to explain genetic manipulation to the general public without dumbing it down too much, which I highly appreciate. Overall, I enjoyed the book enough to drag my laptop, instead of a regular book, out to the car when I had to pick up kids at sports. I look forward to seeing what else he has to offer.
