Kaci Montgomery had just about given up on love when her beloved great-grandmother died and bequeathed her an antique Celtic necklace. In a letter to Kaci, her great-grandmother explains the necklace was the reason she had met her great-grandfather and together with a large antique mirror, it would bring Kaci the man of her dreams. Kaci isn't sure she believes the story, but cannot resist wearing the necklace when the attorney sends it over.
After fastening the necklace, she examines herself in the mirror and runs her finger along the necklace. Suddenly, an image forms in the mirror. A gorgeous man with deep blue eyes. She had to be going crazy. There was no way she had seen someone else in her mirror, it was just a mirage. A trick of the mind, right?
Several weeks pass and Kaci keeps seeing this man in her mirror. She only sees him once a day and only when she touches the necklace she can't seem to get off. What were her chances of ever meeting this man in the flesh?
Mirage is completely emotional. The opening chapter is so sad as Kaci is dealing with her great-grandmother's death and the reading of her will. Then there is the feeling of helplessness as she wonders if she will ever find love and true happiness. LaFleur creates complex characters, a unique storyline not often found in novellas and throws in unbelievably sensuous love scenes. Very enjoyable.
Enchanted Rogues is another wonderful, unforgettable themed anthology from the award-winning Ellora's Cave. It combines great stories and gifted authors. Not be missed.

Happy Birthday, Baby by Lynn LaFleur is a book with four wonderful erotic tales of birthday wishes coming true with the help of that special someone.
The Birthday Gift
It was Amanda's birthday and Jake's love for her was so great that he wanted to give her one of her fantasies she had revealed to him one night after a great bout of hot sex. Amanda's fantasy was to have sex with two guys at once. Jake knew that the only other person he would dare trust his wife and her body with would be his cousin Patrick. Jake and Patrick have always been as close as brothers, doing many wild things together. Patrick, just happened to be at their house visiting while on vacation and after the initial shock at what Jake wanted to do and after much thought he decided that he will help his cousin fulfill his wife's fantasy. The question now is....will Amanda agree with this?
It's in the Cards
Catherine Ryan was at the store trying to find the perfect birthday cards for her sister Anita. After spending some time picking out just the right ones (a serious one and a funny one), Catherine was about to check out when a purple card that she did not see there before caught her eye. Being drawn to it, she picks it up and feels a tingle go down her arm. Slowly she opens it up and finds the exact image of the fantasy man who throughout the years have been haunting her dreams laying on a bed of rumpled satin sheets, looking sexy as sin with a sheet draped over his groin. Of course she has to buy it. In a fit of loneliness, Catherine sits at home and stares lustfully at her fantasy man on the card, lightly running her hand over his image and wishing that he was real. When her fantasy man comes to life and wants to do whatever it takes to make her happy, will he be able to stay with Catherine forever? Or is there heartbreak for Catherine on the horizon when she finds out the true explanation behind his curse?
One Thing to Give
Lindsay Cunningham's friends took her out to the new restaurant in town to help her celebrate her birthday. After dinner she went home but found the loneliness to great and went back to sit in the bar of the restaurant. As she nursed a coke, Lindsay watched the sexy bartender do his job. Something about this man excited her and drew her to him. But Lindsay came from a home with divorce parents and siblings. Even her friends had trouble finding that true love. Lindsay had no fantasies that love or a happy relationship was for her, especially having two failed relationships herself. But just once, Lindsay wanted to be the wild, carefree girl with no worries. Can she entice this sexy bartender in having a one-night-only hot sexy romp with her? Will Lindsay be able to keep her heart intact about the best mind blowing sex of her life?
Unexpected
After Linc Carter helped his drunk buddy home after a night of partying for this birthday, he decided to spend his own birthday, which was the next day, up in his cabin alone. Not minding the peace and quiet he will find there. But on the trip up to the cabin a strange object with bright lights shot in front of his truck and crashed into the nearby woods. After investigating, Linc finds the strange object and takes it home to his cabin. After prying it open, Linc finds that inside is a alien woman. Linc hopes that with the help of his friend, Nyles, he will be able to fix this alien woman's spacecraft so she could get home. But after a few hours she awakens and throws herself on him, having wild sex even before he knew what was happening. Linc is unexplainably drawn to this sexy alien woman who touches his heart right away. But will she be willing to stay on Earth with him or will she go back to the exciting universe that is awaiting her?
Happy Birthday, Baby by Lynn LeFleur is a great book filled with hot, sexy romantic stories that will leave you breathless. All four stories were unique, written well and had very likeable characters. For a fun romp into the sexy side of birthdays, I highly recommend Happy Birthday, Baby by talented new author Lynn LaFleur.
