Before you sit down to read one of the most sensitive stories I've read, I do recommend you stop for a moment and pick up the first two stories in this series, Marly's Choice and Sarah's Seduction, if you have not already read them.

Sam August is trying to make sense of it all. The pain he and is brothers, Cade and Brock, share seemed irreparable. Why is it that, as their lives seemingly get better and brighter, his gets darker and darker? Cade and Marly seem happier than could ever be imagined. Brock's pain is easing ever more due to Sarah. The only possible light in Sam's future is Heather March. Will she ever give herself to him, to his family?

Sam and Heather are two characters with a level of intensity that is overwhelming. While his brothers have accepted that their way of life is the only way to survive, Sam's deeper instinct is that there has got to be another way, but he hasn't been able to figure it out. He draws deeper and deeper within himself, and is pushing all the others away. Heather feels that Sam's family is self-destructive. Yet, she can't seem to let Sam go. She won't give up on him.

Heather and her sister, Tara, are part of a security team assigned to draw out the stalker threatening the August men. Heather knew Sam from before, when there was a previous threat. Now he's surprised she is back to work for the family, as they had unresolved feelings.

Sam and his brothers have a past that most would not have survived. Now Sam is the target of a stalker a security team has been trying to track for about two years. There are many questions and many revelations during this time when the safety of the entire August family is at stake. But also, Heather. Why is she in danger? What is so peculiar about her attraction to Sam that makes the stalker sit up and take notice?

Whether the passion, love or devotion of this family sticks with you, or the incredible drama, both past and present, Heather's Gift is a book you'll not want to put down. The searing intrigue of this novel most certainly makes it a page turner. As the secrets of the past are revealed, the pain and the passion rise to unbelievable heights for this family.

Lora Leigh has written perhaps one of the most compelling and intense series I have ever read. Admittedly, I had not read the first two Men of August books prior to receiving this review book. Honestly, that was a good thing for me, as I sat down and read the complete series. For those who waited between books, I can only imagine the enthusiastic anxiety that accompanied the readers.

Heather's Gift, along with Marly's Choice and Sarah's Seduction, is most certainly a keeper, one to keep within reach so that the entire series can be read again.

Anything overly sexual disgusts Ella, Tess's mother, which is why she left her husband years ago, taking her daughter with her. Now against her mother's wishes, Tess is going to spend a week at her dad's, to attend his anniversary party. She just hopes that she can avoid Cole Andrews because he is the one man who knows how to make her tremble and lose control.

Cole is Tess's dad's, Jason Delacoarte, right hand man and also Missy's, Jason's new wife, brother. He has wanted Tess for years and has never hidden that fact from her. Now Cole is going to use Tess's visit to release her sexuality and make her surrender to him. Will Tess be able to fight the desires she is feeling for Cole or will she succumb to his domination?

Crank up the air conditioning when reading this book because it is beyond hot. More like a SCORCHER! Once I started this book, there was no way I was putting it down. Even I was under the spell of Cole's domination. Lora Leigh knows how to write erotic with a capital "E". I know when I get to read one of her books I am in for a real sexually charged treat. She has become one of my favorite authors.
