In one of the most volatile Breed stories to date, Aiden all but refuses to accept Charity as his mate. In this story of stubborn resistance, Charity had a plan. When Aiden, a Wolf Breed, was not cooperating with the forced aphrodisiacs and sexual training, death was his only option. Charity couldn't envision that for him, in part because of her deep feelings for him, but also because as she was working for the much-hated Council, she knew that escape was coming soon to the Breeds. The Council is a Genetics Council laboratory where experiments were done to try and create a specific type of warrior by mixing human DNA with specific animals.
Six years later, Charity makes a bone-chilling escape. When Charity did all she could do to save Aiden at the Breed Labs in Mexico, she was absolutely certain that he'd come back for her. He never did, and now she is no longer working for the Council, but she is now a victim of their cruel and brutal experiments. To add to her torture, her saving Aiden has left her with a remembrance that makes her life one of agony. It has been determined that Charity's blood contains the rare hormone only known to the Wolf Breeds, and also a high level of aphrodisiac that is in the blood of mated females. Yes, Charity is mated to Aiden, suffers greatly, and she has not seen him for over six years.
When Aiden is there at the escape of another Breed, the Winged Breeds in South America, he saves Charity. The last woman he ever wanted to see. Charity has been hurt during the escape attempt, so Aiden is forced to take her to his home in order to nurse her back to health. This is a despised job for him, as his rage and hatred for Charity has only grown over the years. What he wants to know is why did she betray him and then tie herself to him? Now he has no choice to eventually mate with her, as she is at a stage where she needs to mate - frequently, and only with him.
Aiden and Charity have an unbreakable connection. They each fight conflicting impulses as Charity completely turns Aiden's world upside down. He seems to want to hold onto his feelings of hatred and resentment, yet Charity continually softens him up. Charity is torn between her former duties as a scientist and her desire to understand all the changes going on with her, as well as the physical and emotional connections that are building for Aiden.
What a hot story! Volatile emotions, passionate sex and almost a never-ending intrigue are all part of a story that was very difficult to put down. Lora Leigh has written another winner with Aiden's Charity. Whether you are trying to understand things from Aiden's point of view, or Charity's, the feelings are there. The passion that exists between mated mates is astonishing. All the while Aiden is trying to maintain control, you just know at some point his heart is going to be strongly affected by what happens in his intense sexual relationship with Charity.
I've thoroughly enjoyed all of the Wolf Breeds series to date, Wolfe's Hope and Jacob's Faith. This story is right up there with stories that are not only keepers, but books that you'll want to re-read more than once, especially while waiting for the next in this delectable series.
Readers will be thrilled with the introduction of yet another series, The Winged Breeds. For an in-depth look at all of the amazing series and stories Ms. Leigh has written to date, be sure to visit her website at www.loraleigh.com.

Lora Leigh is very well-known for her compelling series. In Jacob's Faith we have the second in the Wolf Breed series. The first is Wolfe's Hope. In this sizzling and intense story, Jacob is afraid he'll lose control. He walked away from Faith six years ago after their first intense mating with her. What happened then, and who Jacob and Faith really are, explains Jacob's actions. Jacob, Faith and others, such as Wolfe and Hope, are part animal and part wolf due to cruel DNA experiments.
When Jacob was created, his life was filled with nothing but cruel actions, including sexual training. When Faith, a young breed was brought to him, and he had to mate with her, he left his mark on her. There was an escape and it was six years before Jacob saw Faith again.
Faith has always idolized Jacob, perhaps loved him. Especially after receiving his mark. For six long years, Faith carried on as much a normal life as possible. Faith refused to live with the Pack, resenting with great intensity of al the cruelty forced on her and her Packmates. Faith is in heat, and only Jacob can help her in this position. Her being in heat endangers her life, as well as the lives of the Pack.
Wolfe, pack leader, feels the only way he can help Faith is by tricking her into delivering a message to Jacob. Once together, they are combustible - in more ways than one. The sexual tension and heat Jacob and Faith share is beyond intense. However, Faith and Jacob have an amazing amount of unresolved feelings about what occurred during their first mating. Trying to understand the past, the present and considering the future puts the two of them at great odds more than once.
Jacob is an Alpha Enforcer, and when he realizes that he can no longer resist his mate, his controlling nature nearly takes over. Faith is no pushover, however, and it is rather enjoyable watching Faith meet Jacob toe to toe. While away from Jacob, Faith's needs were nearly overwhelming, and she had a couple of vices, like caffeine to keep her going. Now that Jacob is back in her life, she is determined he will fill each and every one of her needs.
What a story! From sexual tension, to humor, to anger, Jacob's Faith will grab a hold of you and not let you go. From one scene to the next, we don't know if Jacob and Faith are going to fight or display their incredible passion. When you consider what binds them is more biological than emotional, their painful feelings are easy to understand. What Faith would give for Jacob to give her his heart!
As mentioned, this riveting story is the second of the Wolf Breed series. The next is Aiden's Charity, which is also available at Ellora's Cave. When you visit Ms. Leigh's website, you'll get all sorts of information on the many series this incredibly talented author has penned. I have read and loved another of Ms. Leigh's series, and once I complete this one, I'm eager to move onto the Feline Breeds with Tempting the Beast.
