Riley is just an average kid, living an ordinary life until he receives a postcard from his uncle Max. Uncle Max, a world renowed biologist, wants Riley to join him, Aunt Martha and their daughter Alice on a trip to Madagascar. Along with a film crew, they're going to be searching for the rare, nocturnal aye-aye lemur.

Madagascar is an unbelievably gorgeous place as Riley soon learns. There are all sorts of creatures found only in Madagascar. From the hissing cockroaches to painted mantella frogs to baobab trees that look like they grow upside down, every day is a new adventure full of learning. Unfortunately, their trip is almost over and they have yet to spot an aye-aye lemur. Will they be able to catch a glimpse of this special lemur before it disappears from the earth forever?

Mission to Madagascar is an amazing adventure. Bright, colorful illustrations and gorgeous photography blend to create a visible treat. My children loved every part of this book and clamor to read it daily. With nature lessons "hidden" within, characters kids can relate to, the Adventures of Riley is something parents and kids can both agree on. In addition to giving your kids a great story and a stepping stone for further animals studies, part of the profits from the sale of Mission to Madagascar goes to save animals.

Don't miss this or any other Adventures of Riley tales - Tigers in Terai, Safari in South Africa, Amazon River Rescue and Dolphins in Danger.
