A delightful tale that will bring a smile to both young and old, Blue Paint is the story of Johnny. Johnny has just been hired as a house painter and his first job is to paint the windows of a house blue. His boss warns him not to drop any paint and Johnny tries very hard to make sure he doesn't.
Several hours later, a grumpy-looking man wearing a top hat walks under Johnny's ladder. He stops and yells at Johnny, saying he spilled blue paint on his new top hat. Johnny climbs down the ladder and as hard as he looks can't find any blue paint. The grumpy man demands Johnny pay him fifty dollars and even calls over two other people to come verify there is blue paint on the hat. Well, Johnny keeps looking and still doesn't see any paint, but three people can't be wrong so he gives the grumpy man his money.
Johnny is sad; he'd hoped to buy a motorbike with the fifty dollars and now he can't. When others hear his tale, Johnny and his boss teach the grumpy man a valuable lesson.
Blue Paint is an exceptional tale by an exceptional author. My boys both loved the story and laughed when they found out what happened to the grumpy man. With its gorgeous illustrations and quick pace, Blue Paint will keep children riveted and adults smiling. Don't miss.
