The Scam is the real thing in political thrillers! A complex web of deceit stretches across the globe, threatening the economic stability of countries and leaving a trail of blood. The mastermind of this conspiracy is nameless and faceless, making it impossible to catch him. Until the only man who has ever escaped him decides to get into the game.
Jonathan Malone was a chess prodigy, but he stopped playing on the night his parents were brutally murdered. His innocent eyes watched this tragedy, while his brilliant mind developed a strategy for him to flee the carnage. Now, years later, he is a FBI agent determined to finish this deadly game with a decisive checkmate.
From the prologue to the last page, this book maintains a high level of suspense and action. The depth of this worldwide conspiracy is revealed in progressive increments, allowing the reader to understand the scope and the stealth of those involved. Although the tentacles of this terror seem mind-boggling at times, there is a realistic feel to the story as current technology supports this grand scheme. The characters possess a creative mix of compassion and cunning, causing them to be more than stick-figure soldiers. The author has gifted each of them with unique abilities and assets that contribute significantly to the story line.
As the intrigue touches all of the world's major organizations, from the CIA to Mossad, the notch of fear inches higher. Readers will begin to wonder if this mastermind can ever be ferreted out. This feeling of unrest and uncertainty lingers to the final pages, as the ending satisfies in a shocking way.
