Jalen has to save Ranelle. The Sorcerer is trying to claim Ranelle and her heart-sisters Tierra and Liana. Jalen knows his brothers-at-arms will watch out for Liana and Tierra, but he's got to save Ranelle himself. Ranelle's visions assure her that Tierra and Liana will be fine, protected. However, she is chained in a fortress and at the hands of the Sorcerer. Why didn't she listen when the man that was shadowing her told her to stay put? Would she be where she was now?

That is the exciting opening to The Seraphine Chronicles Book 2: Bewitched. In Book 1, Forbidden, we read of Liana's story. What will happen to Ranelle? Will she escape the evil clutches of the Sorcerer? Will Jalen get there in time?

Jalen is an Elvin warrior and Ranelle is a Nordain. He's not certain why he would be given a heartmate not of his own species, but he will do anything to save her, and then will walk with her side by side to Seraphine.

Just as Ms. McCray's previous novel in this series, Forbidden, had in incredibly high steam factor, Bewitched is just as hot! While I was reading Bewitched, I couldn't help but get hot and steamy from the sensuality of this book! The Elvish are sensual creatures, so the sex scenes were plentiful. After finishing Bewitched, I was frustrated. I wanted, no needed, to finish this chronicle. What of Tierra? Would the Sorcerer ever be destroyed? While Bewitched is highly sensual, the level of suspense in these books is just as captivating. Readers can look forward to finishing this series with Spellbound, which will be available in May.

Rancher catie Wilds finds herself in a similar situation as Dee McLeod. Readers of Wildfire by Cheyenne McCray may remember the cattle rustling threatening Dee's livelihood. Well, catie is in the same predicament. catie storms into the Sheriff's office to demand satisfaction. However, she is all but flabbergasted when she runs into what some might call sex on feet, Sheriff Jarrod Savage.

Jarrod has been exhaustingly investigating the rustling situation, but now he needs to take a quick detour. catie Wilds is a wildcat, someone he is just aching to get to know. As catie has been hit by the rustlers, Jarrod figures he can mix business with pleasure.

Very quickly we see that catie is every bit the wildcat Jarrod deems her. For one thing, she is a highly sexual creature. As catie seeks to spy on a very busy trio, Jarrod catches her in the act, and gives her the treat of her life, anonymously. catie wonders who this sexual god was, and the next time she sees Sheriff Savage, she has no doubt that it was him that night.

Jarrod knows little catie is a spitfire, and seeks to tame her--demanding dates, and even possible commitment. Jarrod very quickly falls in love with catie and wastes no time letting her know that they will have a future together. catie, on the other hand, is the product of a broken home, and feels that love and marriage are too risky. Can she stubbornly protect herself from falling completely in love with Jarrod?

Readers of Ms. McCray will find this book scorchingly hot, as are all of her other books. catie and Jarrod are incredibly compatible and have a sexual energy that is to be envied. We are also treated to characters that we met in Wildfire, and have a hint on who'll we'll meet in Wildcard. I find myself overly anxious for each release date of Ms. McCray's books, because I know that I will be treated to a sensual feast. Let us not forget that in the "Wild" stories, we still are trying to identify the cattle rustler. This lends to very intriguing stories. Wildcard will be released in May.
