When we finished The Seraphine Chronicles Book 3: Spellbound, we had concluded a remarkable trilogy of three women whose very lives affected the survival of their realms.

Now, in Seraphine Chronicles: Untamed, we read of Anistana, Fae Queen. Anistana had a wonderful role in each chronicle to date. Tierra, Ranelle and Liana each found there soulmates. Well, this is Anistana's story. What about Anistana? Will she find her soulmate?

Does she even want a soulmate? Remember the Overseer, To'en? From the moment he laid eyes on Anistana, he knew he found his other half, the one woman who would make him complete. Could she be tamed? What obstacles might be in the way?

Why is Anistana so enthralled with To'en? He's just another man with a huge cock, right? It can't be anything more, can it? Ms. McCray packs a wallop in Untamed. This short story captivated me, just as the rest of Ms. McCray's books have done. Having read the previous Seraphine Chronicles, I felt as if I "knew" Anistana, and, frankly, never thought she could possible be tamed. Was I right? Read Untamed, and see what a fantastic job Ms. McCray has done.

The Seraphine Chronicles Book 3: Spellbound brings us the conclusion to a very exciting trilogy. In Book 1: Forbidden, we read Liana and Aric's story. In Book 2: Bewitched, we were intrigued with Ranelle and Jalen's story.

When I finished reading Bewitched, I had two questions. What was Tierra's fate? What of Zanden, the sorcerer? These questions had very satisfying answers. Spellbound begins with Tierra waking up after having a fever, with someone standing over her, telling her it was imperative for her to flee.

Renn T'iercel, Captain of the Fearless Nordains, and brother to the King of Phoenicia has been dispatched to find her. After traveling for several days into the deep forest, Tierra is feeling very lost. She discovers this beautiful man bathing in a stream. She sees who she calls "her dark warrior", the very man she has been dreaming about.

As Renn tracked Tierra, he realized that she appealed to him. Renn has had no shortage of lovers among the different races, and he still shakes his head when he thinks of Jalen and Aric falling in love and marrying. While bathing, Renn's horse alerts him of another's presence...and then the chase begins.

Tierra is panicked because she is separated from her heart-sisters, Janelle and Riana, and she knows the sorcerer is after all three of them? Renn promised to bring Tierra to Janelle and Riana, but first he has to be able to keep this beautiful innocent to stop escaping him.

Of all men, Renn cannot believe that he, too, has found his heartmate. The passion that he and Tierra share is beyond all imaginings. He cannot figure out why his heart keeps trying to move past lust for this one woman. Tierra is amazed by the intensity of her feelings and desires for her dark warrior; but she has spent her first twenty years as a prisoner, as she had been taken when she was a babe. No, she'll enjoy him for a while, and then move on.

Spellbound, like the first two of this trilogy, is much, much more than a love story. This is a story that intrigues us with the mystery of Zanden, the sorcerer. We also will find out the true meaning of the Seraphine Chronicles. I can call Spellbound nothing less than amazing. Will a union be able to occur between Tierra and Renn? Will it serve to unite all the races, once and for all? Will they have enough time? What of all of the others we read about in the previous stories? What impact will they have in Spellbound? The answers to these questions will sometimes shock you, amaze you, and will truly thrill you. Ms. McCray has done a spectacular job with this series. I encourage anyone reading this review to go directly to Ellora's Cave, or to Ms. McCray's website at www.cheyennemccray.com, to purchase all three stories in this trilogy.
