Joyce Meyer's Battlefield of the Mind was written for adults, but now the ideas expressed in that successful book are available for the younger generation. However, Battlefield of the Mind for Kids is not simply a watered-down version of the original; these pages pack the power of the original book in language appropriate for this age group.

Written in a friendly conversational style, children will be led through a series of thought-provoking concepts that rest solidly on Scripture. Clever drawings grace the pages, making the words even more appealing to the eyes. Each chapter is short and filled with practical advice and admonitions. Readers will feel as if the authors have come alongside them, to show a more excellent way of living and thinking. A sense of enthusiasm is evident and contagious, as the ideas encourage young people to actively become involved in this battle of the mind. The seriousness of the situation, as well as the potential for success are contrasted and highlighted.

The authors touch upon the very real emotions of the preteen years, like anger, doubt and fear. They readily acknowledge the presence of these feelings, yet put them in the context of the teachings of Christ. As young readers view their world in the light of God's Word, they are shown the necessary mindset to overcome the deception that surrounds them. All of these wonderful truths are broken down into small segments, making it easier to absorb and assimilate them.

With so many voices calling out to children in today's culture, this book speaks the words of truth in love!
