Molly Danzig was a young peasant girl working at her father's inn in the small village of Pachenska when Prince Ulric and his men stopped in and decided to stay there. After that night, Molly's life changed forever.
Prince Ulric was impressed with Molly the night she waited on him at the inn. So impressed that he wanted to buy her. The Prince struck a deal with Molly's father which surprised and devastated the eavesdropping Molly.
Determined not to be sold like cattle, Molly decided to run away with the Gypsies passing through Pachenska. But the short time she was with the Gypsies was not a pleasant one and she only narrowly escaped being raped by a group of Gypsy men. When they found out that she was the property of the Prince, they returned her to him for a price.
Once Molly was at the palace, she learned, with the help of Mistress Helga, how to please Prince Ulric in bed, hoping to become his concubine. But Prince Ulric's betrothed, Lady Lucretia has other devious plans for little miss Molly. Will Molly be able to defeat Lady Lucretia and her noblemen? Will Prince Ulric and Molly be able to find a happily-ever-after?
Jim Miller takes us to new sensual heights in The Training of a Concubine. Molly is a courageous young lady that you can't help but admire; and Prince Ulric was a man you could like once you stripped away the rough outer exterior. The love he showed towards Molly despite what his peers thought was remarkable. The story flowed well despite the quick pace at which the events happened. And did I mention the sex was hot and titillating? :) While The Training of a Concubine is quite a different type of story than we are use to seeing from Mr. Miller, it is a wonderfully well-written story and Mr. Miller handles the change in genre quite well. I am anxious to see what other great stories Jim Miller has in the works. I know whatever they are and no matter what genre it is I won't be disappointed.
