All Amber had ever wanted a husband she loved and a lot of children. It looked like her dreams would come true when she met Craig. He shared her dreams and they were destined for each other. Yet their dreams were not meant to be.
On the day of their wedding, Craig walks in and find Amber in the arms of another man. Without waiting to learn the truth he disappears. Amber couldn't believe he just left her with Brian, his best man and would-be rapist. Deep in her heart, she knew he needed time to cool off and knew he would return in time for the wedding. When he didn't, she bravely announced there wouldn't be a wedding and went back home. That night, Brian returned to finish what he'd attempted earlier. Amazingly, Amber survived the rape and with the help of her parents and Craig' mother made a new life for herself.
It had been ten years, since Craig had been in contact with his mother or anyone from his hometown. He'd never stopped loving Amber, but there was no way he was going to allow himself to be hurt like that again. He'd applied himself and was now a successful writer. So what if he wasn't truly happy with his life? It was better to be miserable than to wonder when the person you cared about the most would betray you, right?
The phone call from Amber was a complete surprise. He hadn't even known his mother had cancer, let alone that she'd been living with Amber for the past four years. When Amber tells him the doctor only gives his mother a week to live, he returns home.
In the aftermath of his mother's death, Craig finds himself dealing with Amber on a daily basis. Face to face once again, neither can deny they still care for the other. But starting over means dredging up the past and revealing deep secrets. Can they become friends again and fall in love once more before Brian returns to claim what he believes is his?
All I Ever Wanted is a skillfully written edge-of-your-seat thriller combined with a deeply romantic, sensual love story. Ms. Moore crafts vivid characters and thrusts them into an emotional roller coaster. Amber and Craig must deal with their old feelings, past hurts, new feelings and a death threat. All I Ever Wanted packs an emotional punch and the reader can't help being swept into the quick-paced, addictive storyline. Very highly recommended!
