Jackie had been having erotic dreams for quite some time. The scene always played out the same: she was in a corner office up on the sixty-first floor, dressed to kill, ordering her dream lover to disrobe, then just before she had an orgasm she woke up. She didn't need a fairy godmother to tell her who her dream man was, she already knew. In fact, she worked for him. Except, she had been dreaming about him before she actually met him.
Her dream man was none other than Max Patterson, a talented lawyer in a prestigious firm. She'd been working at the computer help desk for quite some time before she actually saw him. But she'd definitely heard about him; rumors had him sleeping with a new woman almost every night. Jackie knew she'd never be able to win the affections of a man like Max, much less get him to notice her. Granted, he'd noticed her once before when she accidentally spilled coffee on him. Other than that, he didn't know she existed.
One day fate takes a hand and she is assigned a job showing Max how to operate the new software that had been recently installed on his computer. Her coworker Kelsey hands her a gold-edged card and tells her to visit the shop for a makeover before going to her meeting with Max. Jackie tells her she isn't looking for love and decides to forget all about a makeover. However, something compelled her to keep the card and on a whim she decides to get the makeover.
At the Magic Beanstalk, the proprietor works wonders and no longer is Jackie the refuge from a Catholic school, but a woman who knows what she wants. Now all she has to do is make her dream come true.
Bravo to Ms. Nash! The View from the Clouds is the most original spin on Jack and the Beanstalk that I have ever read. I totally loved the fact Jack was a woman; watching her conquer her fears was uplifting and fun. And, of course, the extremely sensual love scenes helped quite a bit in making this story a must read.

Dar is unlike any neighbor Jewel's ever had. For one thing, he plays the most deplorable music. Also, he says he is an alien, from Tar'ana in the Tarnassa System. She's loathe to believe him, but for some reason, she can sense his emotions. Will Jewel be what Dar needs her to be for him? What a thrilling novella! Dar needs Jewel. It is imperative Jewel take on the role as Dar's Dream Guardian. However, Jewel's saving Dar's life could possible cost her life. It doesn't take long for Jewel to begin having strong psychic connections with Dar, and this terrifies her. Dream Guardian is a very intense novella that moves at a quick pace, allowing enough suspense for us to wonder if Dar and Jewel will be okay together.
Each story in Alien Encounters provides a woman with a man who will love them like no other. Some other-worldly experiences are here to tantalize the reader. You won't want to put this exciting anthology down. For one thing, the world-building in these stories is excellent, along with incredible steam in each well-written story. Be sure to pick up Alien Encounters for your keeper shelf.
