Two ghosts have made it their mission to try to help Ryan and Thomm's relationship. To help them discover just how much they mean to one another. They aren't above using some of their divine powers to help, either.
Ryan used to live in the country, but moved to the city to be with his lover Thomm. Now he is afraid Thomm is embarrassed to admit to other people that he is gay and has a live-in lover. Thomm likes to keep his private life, well...private. He doesn't express his feelings well. After a heated exchange with Ryan, he knows he must let Ryan know how much he means to him. Will the two lovers come to terms with their feelings and their weaknesses to resolve the conflict between them?
Independence Day, while short, is filled with compassion and is a wonderful love story. Ryan and Thomm are easy to fall in love with, along with the ghosts of Joey and Theodore. Willa Okati is one of my favorite authors; her stories are overflowing with passion, as all romances should be. She brings each story to life, allowing readers to feel the heat and passion along with her characters. I highly recommend this great novella.
