Delivering a Biblical lesson with a large helping of zany humor is what Big Idea is known for. And in this tale, laughs abound while kids learn about taking responsibility for their actions.
It's a hot Saturday morning and the Mess Detectives (Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber) have been dispatched to Madame Blueberry's house. She was babysitting some boys and they'd had a sleepover at her house. During the night they jumped on the bed and broken it. She'd asked who was responsible, but they refused to answer.
Will the Mess Detectives be able to wrangle a confession, amidst a pancake syrup shoot-out, flying pillows and pointing fingers, uh...make that yelled accusations?
The Big Sleepover is really one of my favorite books to read, with or without my children. I am, I must admit, a huge VeggieTales fan and look forward to each new book and movie just as much as they do. I love reading this book with my children (especially since neither of them likes to take responsibility for their messes). They love the story and I appreciate the lesson they're learning. Not only does The Big Sleepover tackle taking responsibility for your actions, it also covers lying and respect for others' property.
For a family-friendly and downright fun book, pick up The Big Sleepover. Cause just as surely as Larry the Cucumber carries a badger, this book will have kids laughing and adults cheering.
