Tired of her husband's ill treatment and unsatisfied sexually, Rachel buries herself in her writing, even though her husband constantly puts down her writing. She surfs the Internet and learns of the Master/slave relationships and realizes she wants to be controlled; she participates in a few chats and meets a man by the name of Rafe. After emailing and chatting for several weeks, she agrees to meet him.
The moment they meet they know without a doubt they are meant to be together. Rafe asks her to stay with him for one week to see if she is truly compatible with his tastes and demands. She quickly agrees.
Their week together proves to both they are meant to be together and they take the steps necessary to be together permanently. But danger follows them while on their honeymoon and both almost die. Is their love truly meant to be?
An emotionally pleasing story from beginning to end, The Rebirth of Rachel proves again how talented Christy Poff is. Rafe was an easy hero to fall in love with, and Rachel was one of the most believable heroines I've seen in a long time. Particularly pleasing was the depiction of the Master/slave relationship; it was tender and loving, something anyone would wish to experience. Beautiful and unforgettable.
