Mr. Pritchett has been an entrepreneur for almost his entire life, and this book helps those of us who are a bit on the soft side to toughen up and do the best for one's company. It's not easy to fire someone, or to know how to figure out whom to fire. This book is definitely for those who need to have some way of firing not only in a good way, but to also know when to fire and when to hold back. The stories are often interesting as well as a great way of remembering the tips he gives. I'm not a business leader, but as someone who's been fired and who's been hired, it's a good book to see what helps bring about certain decisions-- especially when it comes to pink slipping people.

Though not for everyone - Fire Someone Today is a revelation to helping people who don't know how to deal with management issues on a cool, calm level. I can definitely say this book is staying on my bookshelf with definite re-readings in the future. The advice appeals across the board - whether you're self-employed or a member of a Fortune 500 industry.
