Determined to escape an arranged marriage to a tyrant king, Morgana, Princess of Wales, had boarded her ship along with a band of loyal subjects and set sail for France. Their leaving was unnoticed and the voyage uneventful until the day one of the sailors spotted red and white sails on the horizons. To Morgana's and her crews' despair, the sails belonged to a Viking ship. The ensuing battle was bloody with many Welshmen dying to protect their princess. Even Morgana wielded a sword and joined the battle, only to be knocked unconscious just before killing the Viking leader.

From the moment the warrior was revealed as woman, Erik was ensorcelled. He wanted her and would have her, going so far as ordering no one to touch or speak to her on pain of death. His captive had other ideas. Her fiery nature and stubbornness were proving to be a most interesting challenge.

Morgana refused to give into her body's demands. She was a princess, a virgin and a Christian. She would not damn her soul just to make her new master happy. Even as her body and heart say otherwise, Morgana goes out of her way to make sure Erik knows how much she hates him and his homeland. Her only hope is to be ransomed back to her father, even if it means marriage to a tyrant.

Will Erik be able to melt the ice surrounding her heart and show her the depth of his love? Will his love be enough to protect her when a friend betrays them both?

Vivid, fast-paced, detailed and character driven, Viking Seduction is a moving historical. The relationship between Morgana and Erik is volatile and passionate. Ms. Ranson deftly captured the nature of two very stubborn and proud people, both determined to have their own way while at the same time showing the small changes and concessions they made at every fight. This makes their love much more believable and magical. I highly recommend Viking Seduction.

Kieran had returned from fighting alongside King Richard to claim what was rightfully his. He knew his brother Hugh had claimed Stratford as his own and had even married Kieran's betrothed. He also knew Hugh was a blackguard and the rumors surrounding Odette's death pointed to foul play. While Kieran had his own army, there weren't nearly enough men to retake Stratford. He needed an army and only two chances to get the aid he needed.

Kieran takes his army to the Abbey of St. Stephen, the home of his former tutor, Father Cesare. He asks the Father to write to the Pope, hoping to use the Church's army to retake his inheritance. When the Father refuses, he knows he must ask the Duchess of Ravenwood for her help. There's just one problem, he was horrible to her when they were children. Would she be able to look past the child to the man he had become?

As Kieran tries to persuade Constance Ravenwood to lend him his army, he realizes he is in love with her and has been since they were children. When words fail to persuade her, he tries seduction.

Constance knew she should have refused him outright, but she had always been in love with him. Try as she might, she doesn't really want Kieran to leave without knowing she's not as hard-hearted as she appears. When a man attacks her and claims to have done so on Kieran's orders, any trust she had was destroyed. She refuses to allow him aid, even barring his entrance into Ravenwood. She will not let him in her life again.

Kieran is surprised Constance would believe he is so desperate to retake his home and defeat his brother that he would have her killed. He knows his brother was behind the move and vows to keep Constance safe and aware of his love, even if it means giving up what belonged to him.

Set during the reign of King Richard, The Conqueror is filled with vivid details and descriptions, immersing the reader in the time period. The characters were strong, likeable characters that knew themselves very well. Constance's ability to wield a weapon was endearing and I liked seeing a strong heroine. My biggest problem with the storyline was the fact it relied heavily on the "big misunderstanding". Yes, the characters had an unfriendly childhood and while they had a right to distrust each other I was disappointed that they couldn't sit down and talk things out instead of automatically believing the worst or throwing a tantrum. This aside, The Conqueror is a most enjoyable read and Ms. Ranson's writing style is superb. I will definitely be reading more of her work.
