One man's desire, one man's verse - this is the poetry of Robert Fitzgerald Remmington. Wait the Water Fall shows us a glimpse of love and hate, life and death, and all that takes place in between. It's those moments in the middle where Mr. Remmington has powerfully, emotional displays, outbursts in word - that take you where he would like you to be...inside his world.
"Who I am now?" an offering in Chapter 1, is such a beautiful and heartfelt poem. It speaks to me of love and a true want to live and be a part of all that is beautiful in the world.
Mr. Remmington displays a deep passion in his poem, "whose truth?" in Chapter 4. The wrongs of the world, the need to make them right, resonate loud and clear through words that are not bold with ink. Yet, their meaning is quite evident. What is found between the pages of Wait the Water Fall will take you down a different path as you read. Close your eyes and feel what Mr. Remmington did while he was creating. Savor each phrase, enhance each word with your own visions for that is the story behind poetry. Yes, these are the personal insights into the life that Mr. Remmington has lived, but there is more than enough room to take what he has given and mold it into something that fits your own life. That is poetry meant to be read.
"The great escape" is a strong offering. It speaks of times when hope is not enough, when opportunity doesn't come easy. We each need to feel special, yet at what price? I truly believe that this poem is the culmination of all that Mr. Remmington has written. It's what his book of poetry is all about. Sample his art work and taste his offering. There is a little bit of all of us in each of his words. Enjoy Mr. Remmington's slice of life, it's meant to be read on those days when you need to know you're not alone, that there are others who walk along with you.
